Storytelling is the most powerful way to put ideas into the world. And in today’s digital landscape, the power of multimedia storytelling is even more apparent.
Once upon a time, we distributed a news release or printed a brochure. Or perhaps we produced a print news story or built a web page. But one morning, we woke to find everyone glued to their smart phones consuming the latest viral videos and memes.
Whatever the platform, we cannot forget the fundamentals: crafting a great story, picking the perfect word and advancing a brand. Behind every great story is a great message, and it is our job to shape that story in the most thoughtful and creative way.
With a background in content creation, marketing and public relations, I’ve developed a toolbox of skills that I believe make me a valuable member to any team. Through work crafting, producing, pitching and managing digital content at UNC Charlotte, I’ve grown to love the art of storytelling and truly believe in its power to not only evoke emotion but to unite people and spark action.
I excel at cultivating strong relationships that allow myself and others to succeed. I pride myself on communicating clearly and concisely with all audiences. Digital content strategy has been my focus for the past 10 years, affording me a wealth of knowledge and experience. I’ve managed a variety of projects from start to finish, many of which were large-scale branding and communication initiatives, often requiring a delicate balance of expectation management, budget jockeying, outside-the-box creative and critical thinking as well as project management.
I have an insatiable desire to learn and would bring that thirst for knowledge to any job, constantly striving to learn new things and grow alongside the company. I’m the consummate optimist who seeks to find the positives in life and foster strong relationships. While I can work individually, I’m a natural team player who looks to include others to make the end product not only the best it can be, but a reflection of the entire team as well. And I love to think outside the box and challenge myself to be creative. Striving to do something better or more creative is often when the most innovative ideas come to life.

EXECUTIVE PRODUCER OF MULTIMEDIA CONTENT

Oversee a team of video producers to create and manage editorial and multimedia content and projects, with a focus on engaging storytelling.
- Executed at all stages of projects from topic selection and idea formation, through interviewing, writing, editing, photography and videography coordination, and troubleshooting during production and post-production.
- Managed creative team tasked with developing and executing multiple digital ad campaigns and commercials aimed at elevating the University’s brand awareness.
- Served as the primary coordinator on multiple projects to manage resources, and provide budget and scheduling oversight at all stages of production.
- Collaborated across other departments to work cross-functionally and to identify new marketing opportunities, define campaign objectives, plan and execute campaigns, monitor performance, and optimize towards campaign goals.
